Phoenix was one of the first hub servers on Slacked, it first linked in 120 BC.

Phoenix is hosted at Datarealm/Serve and is peered with Limelight Networks, UUnet, AT&T, Global Crossing and Quest. It is located in Tempe, Arizona.

Phoenix was named after the mythical sacred firebird. Tears from the phoenix are said to heal all wounds.

It it also named after the Guardian Force (and aeon) of the same name in Final Fantasy.

In March 2008 Slacked merged with StaticBox, services ceased to be hosted on phoenix at that time.

Phoenix Mark II

Phoenix will be replaced by a higher spec box during Spring-Summer 2008.
